The Family Center is celebrating our 30th Anniversary!
For the past three decades, our expert staff have secured positive, sustainable outcomes for vulnerable NYC children and families. The Family Center mission is to strengthen families affected by crisis, illness, or loss to create a more secure present and future for their children. Our signature interdisciplinary model includes social, legal, behavioral health, and mental health services.
In 2022, The Family Center served over 2,300 families, including more than 5,100 individual New Yorkers, over 96% of whom receive Medicaid and have annual incomes below the federal poverty threshold. We rigorously evaluate all services, and our staff have published findings on service outcomes in over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles.
